Saint-Julien

Saint-Julien is a French red wine with a registered designation of origin produced in the communes of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Saint-Laurent-Médoc in the Médoc, one of the subdivisions of the Bordeaux vineyard. It is one of the communal appellations of the Médoc vineyard, south of Pauillac.

The cultivation of vines in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle and the development of its terroir share a common history with all the appellations of the Médoc (see the history of the Médoc vineyard article). The specifications of the appellation were amended in 20114.

The wines are mainly produced in the commune of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, but some parcels are also spread over Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Saint-Laurent-Médoc.

Saint-Julien-Beychevelle is located between Margaux and Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde estuary.

Chateau Du Glana

Wine Advocate: 90 Points Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 du Glana is scented of black currants, black berries and mulberries with touches of beef, cigar box and menthol. The palate is medium to full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins and a good fruit core, finishing long.
